We base 5 inning bets on both listed pitchers starting the game, with each throwing at least one pitch. This means the bet has “action”. If either of the listed starting pitchers does not start the game, or if the game does not go at least 5 full innings, the bet has no action and you get your money back.
We calculate the outcome and over/under by team scores following the first 5 full innings – usually after the home team’s fifth inning.
On game day most of our 5-inning bets are live by 12pm ET. For matinee games our line managers will post lines by late morning.
